Tide Inclusion Consultancy which launched in January 2023, undertook its first maiden survey between October-December 2023 to understand race inclusion practices across UK organisations. Thank you to the 540 individuals who responded to our first survey. 

The findings of this research provide valuable insights into race inclusion in the UK workplace. It highlights the need for greater commitment, leadership and engagement from senior leaders and HR on race inclusion. The report finds that racial discrimination, bullying, and harassment is still prevalent in UK workplaces.  

Reported racism is substantially higher among ethnically diverse employees. If we are to see real change, senior leaders, and those in positions of privilege able to effect change must listen to those experiencing injustice and ensure their concerns and demands are at the centre of efforts to dismantle discriminatory practices. They must speak as ‘one’ and have a zero-tolerance approach to all forms of inappropriate behaviour.
